This ceremony is of extraordinary significance. It not only marks an important step forward for my country in promoting the development of open-source chips but also has attracted widespread attention from industry.
Guests at the event said that the establishment of the RISC-V International Talent Training and Certification Center is of great significance to promoting the development of RISC-V open-source chip technology in China and the world. They believe that with the promotion of the center, my country's chip industry will usher in new development opportunities and contribute Chinese strength to global scientific and technological development.
In the subsequent signing ceremony, Jiang Xuegang, director of the RISC-V International Talent Training Certification Center (China), signed a cooperation agreement with representatives of eight leading companies and institutions in the industry, including Open Source China OSChina, Beijing Suanneng Technology Co., Ltd., Guangdong Saifang Technology Co., Ltd., Xiamen Open Source Chip Industry Promotion Association, Guangdong Jiangxinchuang Technology Co., Ltd., Jiangsu Runkaihong Digital Technology Co., Ltd., Hard Egg Innovation Group /Ketong Group, and Shenzhen Silicon Speed Technology Co., Ltd. The parties to the subsequent signing will jointly participate in the RISC-V industry talent training and certification work, and will give priority to talents who have obtained the RISC-V international talent training certification in future talent recruitment and employment opportunities, which is equivalent to obtaining an "employment express" admission ticket.
During the keynote speech session, we were honored to listen to authoritative researchers from academia, outstanding industrial technology experts in the field of technology, and top experts in the industry. They shared and discussed in depth the current development trend and prospects of the RISC-V industry, the cultivation of RISC-V talents, the path of corporate technological innovation, and the opportunities and challenges facing the RISC-V market.
Liu Ming, director of ecological operations at the Patterson RISC-V International Open Source Laboratory (RIOS), believes that we should adhere to the concurrent cultivation mechanism of industry, academia and research and full open source development, and explore an independent training system for high-level integrated circuit talents.
Zhou Jianyang, doctoral supervisor at Xiamen University and deputy director of the Department of Microelectronics and Integrated Circuits, shared his thoughts on the full-process training course on SoC chip design based on the RISC-V processor core, as well as the specific contents of four training courses under development.
Wu Wei, ambassador of the RISC-V International Foundation, talked about the newly launched Jiachen Project (RISC-V Prosperity 2036), which aims to achieve an open standard system and open source system software stack covering the entire information industry from data centers to desktop offices, from mobile wearables to smart IoT based on RISC-V before the Year of the Dragon in 2036, so that the RISC-V software and hardware ecosystem can reach or exceed the ecological maturity of other mainstream architectures.
Zhao Xiangwei, vice president of software at Saifang Technology, shared Saifang Technology's RISC-V software and hardware ecosystem layout, and introduced Saifang's RISC-V teaching platform comprehensive experiment box, development kit, and supporting resources.
